Since the fuel price increase, everything also increase (except salary), people is suffering for living.

Today, I receive a forward email which titled “Can a family man with Salary RM3,000 survive in Malaysia????” I found it interesting and the expenses calculation is quite true, so I decided to post it here for us to share with.

The simple calculation start like this.

In Malaysia, the avarage family income is RM3,000/month. (where father work, mother don’t)

Let say the family has Father, Mother, 2 daughter and 1 son.

• Electricity and water bill (without aircon, home theater, water heater) = RM100
• Phone Bill (telekom) = RM100
• Meals for Happy Family (3 mealson RM25/day for 4 members) = RM775
• Father tea time during working hrs (RM5/day, RM5 can eat what?) = RM155
• Car Repayment (Proton Saga, 7yrs repayment) = RM400
• Petrol (traffic jam, go to work, children school) = RM300 (should be more)
• Insurance (whole family) = RM650
• House Repayment (low cost hosing for 30yrs, still need to pay after retired?) = RM750
• Tuition = RM80 (don’t think still can find this price)
• Children pocket money at school (RM1/day) = RM20 (RM1 can buy what?)
• School Fees = RM30 (should be more than this)
• School Books and etc = RM100 (always have more to pay)
• Younger Children Milk = RM50 (cheap milk powder)
• Misc (shampoo, rice, sauce, toilet paper, toothpaste….) = RM100

See till here is already more than RM3,000, means NO ASTRO, NO CINEMA MOVIE, NO DVD/CD, NO ONLINE, NO KFC, NO PARKING, NO HANDPHONE, NO NEW CLOTH, NO MEDICAL, NO PET, NO CAR SERVICE, NO TYRE REPLACEMENT, NO HIGHWAY/TOLL ……

All this have not include Income Tax, Roadtax, EPF deduction, “Cukai Pintu” and many more.

So, HOW TO SURVIVE?? The Deputy Prime Minister asked us to change lifestyle? how to change? Don’t eat? Don’t work? Don’t send children to school?

I believe in Malaysia population, there are millions of Malaysian still don’t earn RM3,000/month.

This is what we call MALAYSIAN BOLEH! because we’re still alive…
