I read something about Touch ‘n Go today, and found that you may being deducted for penalty charge in certain circumstances or due to the system error.
Here is some scenario:
- The card did not have complete transaction (Touch in and Touch out for previous journey.) when touch for a new journey.
- Touch in and touch out at the same station after more than 30mins.
- Touch in at the originating and touch out at the exit station exceeded time limit.
- Multiple touches at reader upon entry or exit station.
I heard someone being charged for penalty more than 3 times at KTM and Monorail due to system blackout, exit closed and so on, which cost him more than 50bucks! when asking for refund, the whole refund process took them a month.
So, please check your touch ‘n go credit when touching in and out to prevent money being deducted for nothing.
